How the AUMQuotient Guna Snapshot works

What the Guna Snapshot is

The Guna Snapshot is AUMQuotient’s free front-door reflection: fifteen questions about how Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas may be showing in behaviour, work, relationships, and inner practice right now.

It is designed so a visitor can reach the first question quickly, without mandatory signup or lengthy demographics before any value.

Fifteen questions, about three minutes

The Snapshot uses a fixed fifteen-question format. Most people finish in roughly three minutes. Questions are reflective scenarios — not a clinical interview and not an open-ended therapy session.

Deterministic scoring

Scoring is deterministic: the same answers produce the same percentage pattern across the three Guna dimensions. Narrative colour may be offered separately; it does not change the underlying scores or bands.

We do not publish exploitable internals. What matters for trust is reproducibility and the promise that AI does not rewrite your scores.

How we use modern examples

AUMQuotient may discuss work, AI, social media, money, information overload, or digital habits to make the classical framework legible in contemporary life. Those examples are interpretive applications — not claims that classical texts described modern technologies directly.

We do not infer a person's Guna from browser history, prompt history, screen time, or social-media behaviour. A modern example is an invitation to reflection, not a scientifically validated digital-behaviour diagnostic.

Three dimensions — mixed results welcome

Results describe relative tendencies across Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. Percentages are a present-state map, not a verdict of character.

A dominant Guna is not forced. Mixed or relatively balanced patterns are normal and valid. The Snapshot is allowed to say more than one quality appears active now.

Non-judgement does not mean philosophical equivalence

AUMQuotient avoids shaming people for any result, but that does not require flattening the classical framework. Sattva is classically more conducive to clarity and knowledge; Rajas is associated with passion, desire, and attachment to action; Tamas with obscuration, inertia, and heedlessness.

Even Sattva is not a permanent identity or the final goal. The framework is most useful when it helps a person observe tendencies without turning them into another ego label.

What percentages represent

At a high level, percentages summarise how your responses weighted toward each quality in this attempt. They are tools for reflection — not precise laboratory measurements, and not predictions of future behaviour.

What “confidence” means here

When a result surface shows a confidence note, it refers to response completeness/consistency signals for that attempt — not scientific validation, clinical reliability, or a guarantee about life outcomes.

Absence of a confidence label does not make a result less real; presence of one does not make the Snapshot a psychometric instrument.

Retakes

Gunas are understood as dynamic. AUMQuotient supports periodic retakes so you can notice how present patterns shift. A retake does not lock a permanent personality; it offers another snapshot of now.

Limitations

The Snapshot cannot replace conversation with trusted teachers, mentors, or licensed professionals when those are needed. It does not diagnose mental-health conditions, predict career success, certify spiritual attainment, or tell a person what their Dharma must be.

Results are shaped by how you answer today — mood, context, and honesty with yourself all matter.

Privacy principles

The free Snapshot can be taken without creating an account. Responses are used to calculate and resume your attempt. We do not send raw answers to generic third-party analytics.

What AUMQuotient does not claim

AUMQuotient does not claim formal scientific or clinical validation. It does not present Gunas as medical or psychiatric constructs. It does not assign a fixed personality type or permanent trait.
